Jenny Phillips Artist Statement:
The interplay of soothing fog and grating smoke has become a recurring feature of San Francisco’s Summer and Fall seasons. Much of my work documents aspects of the Northern California landscape, and so I have felt compelled to explore the ambiguous visual similarities of these opposing phenomena, one creative and the other destructive.
